| Fallen from it's 9th ranking from 2007, and placed one ahead of Copenhagen, which has ranked steadily at Number 11 for the last 2 years.  But to be fair, Copenhagen is ranked much higher than Sydney in terms of safety. 
Zurich Number 1.
Highest ranked American city is Honolulu at 28. 
The survey is supposedly based on quality of living, environment, pollution, wages, consumer prices, health, education, etc. Europe seems to come up trumps.....still NO excuse for Eurovision though.
